PARIS, (Reuters) – Casino France said that it launched a process in order to sell GreenYellow’s renewable energy unit GreenYellow. This is with a view towards a possible transaction at the end.

French financial newspaper Les Echos published Friday’s report that TotalEnergies, a French power company, and Engie, a French energy giant, were considering the acquisition GreenYellow. GreenYellow is valued at 1.5 billion Euros ($1.6 billion).

Casino, which stated its response was to market rumours that were reported in the press, said that Casino has not yet received a binding offer and had not made a decision.
