U.S. Supreme Court backs condemned murderer’s religious request -Breaking

WASHINGTON (Reuters] – Texas must allow a convicted murderer sentenced to death his request for his Christian pastor to lay hands on him, and audibly offer prayers during his execution. This was affirmed by the U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday. It supports the religious rights of all condemned prisoners.

John Henry Ramirez was sentenced to death by the 8-1 decision. He appealed against the rejection of state permission for him to receive pastoral touch and prayers while he is dying from lethal injection. Ramirez was sentenced in the death penalty for his fatal stabbing attack outside of a convenience store.
