Jared Polis the governor of Colorado announced February that the state government would allow cryptocurrency-based tax payments for residents as soon as 2022. Some experts believe that the announcement is legitimate for crypto asset classes and will be made in due course.

Polis indicated that Colorado crypto-holders could be allowed to pay taxes in digital currency. Once the payment is received, the state would convert it back into fiat.
