Investing.com — Meta Platforms Inc (NASDAQ:) stock inched up 0.4% after UBS analyst Lloyd Walmsley reiterated a buy rating and $280 price target.

Analysts had a price target of 27.5%.

An analyst wrote in a note saying that it was time for us to start talking about how we can make money off the Reels video format.

Walmsley claimed that Instagram newsfeed updates, in conjunction with Reels Monetization should lead to a “meaningful bump” to the time users spend on the platform and higher scale monetization.

Walmsley added that Reels could face a 6% revenue hurdle in the first six months of this year due to its push for monetization. But, the company’s monetization efforts will be able to create a tailwind that could generate a significant increase in revenue from advertising, Walmsley said.

The shares traded around $220.50 after hitting an initial high of $225.50 Friday.
