Shanghai to roll out policies to support economy during COVID battle -Breaking

SHANGHAI, (Reuters) – China’s Shanghai said Tuesday that it will roll out policies for helping firms deal with a rise in COVID-19 caseloads in Shanghai. These include tax refunds, exemptions from rents, and financial institutions encouraging credit support.
According to a city government statement, internet providers will be encouraged by the government to reduce their fees. Telecom operators can also offer free three-months worth of cloud services.
Companies in the catering and retail industries will receive subsidy support to allow their employees to undergo COVID testing. It will also provide assistance to healthcare professionals and volunteers who are involved in fighting the pandemic.
