Representative Elaine Luria said she was a panel member.
Luria stated that the chance to meet Kushner was extremely valuable. While the Democratic representative refused to give details about Kushner’s appearance on the panel via videolink he said that he was commenting on different reports of events from the day.
She stated that “he was able to give information to us in order to verify, substantiate and offer his opinion on this reporting.”
Kushner, the ex-president’s closest relative, is the first to speak to the House Select Committee. Additionally, he was a senior adviser to Trump White House.
Un spokesperson from the committee refused to comment.
The Select Committee has interviewed hundreds of people in an investigation into Trump’s attack on Capitol by Trump supporters last year.
