Greece pays off final tranches of IMF loans -Breaking

ATHENS (Reuters) – Greece has paid off the ultimate tranches of bailout loans owed to the Worldwide Financial Fund sooner than anticipated, the finance ministry mentioned on Monday.

Greece has acquired three worldwide bailouts from the euro zone and the IMF price 280 billion euros ($307.19 billion) since 2010. It emerged from its newest bailout in 2018 and has relied on the debt markets to cowl its borrowing wants since.

“Greece concluded right now the compensation of its money owed to the IMF,” Finance Minister Christos Staikouras mentioned in an announcement.
