Software firm Lightning Labs secured large financing to help it further develop its Lightning Network, which allows for quicker and cheaper Bitcoin transactions.

Valor Equity Partners led the $70 million Series B round of funding. Baillie Gifford and Goldcrest Capital were also involved. Lightning Labs creates software and additional features to help the users. Lightning Network (LN), Bitcoin’s layer-two transaction solution.
