U.S. to unveil actions targeting criminal Russian activity -statement -Breaking

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – The U.S. Department of Justice announced Wednesday that it would outline new enforcement measures “to disrupt criminal Russian activity and prosecute them,” in a statement.

According to the department, top Justice officials such as Attorney General Merrick Grland and FBI Director Christopher Wray would discuss the actions at 10 AM (1440 GMT).

The department was not specific.

It coincides with the announcement of new sanctions by the United States, its allies and on Russian bank officials. The White House also announced a ban against new Russian investment after Kyiv and Washington accused Moscow of war crimes in Bucha, Ukraine.

According to the Kremlin, Tuesday’s Western claims that Russian forces executed civilians in Bucha was war crime were “monstrous fakery” and aimed at degrading Russia’s army.

Russia claims that Bucha saw civilian executions as an omen of Russia’s scheming to deceive Ukraine and its Western supporters, whom Moscow asserts are engulfed by anti-Russian discriminatory paranoia.
