Ubisoft was a video-game giant that entered the NFT scene in December. They created a new platform, Ubisoft Quartz. Digits were NFT assets. Ghost Recon Breakpoint was the first game to offer NFT tokens in-game. Unfortunately, NFTs have been removed from the third-party game Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

Ubisoft on Tuesday announced that Ghost Recon Breakpoint would no longer be supported by its development team. The game won’t receive new content or updates. Ubisoft will still maintain the servers.

Ubisoft Quartz also sent a separate message to congratulate players who had already claimed Digits. It stated:

Your ownership of the game means you have made a contribution to its history. Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s last Digit was released 3-17/2022. Keep checking back for future updates, including new features and drops with games.

Current Ghost Recon holders won’t have access to any NFTs, but they can sell their digital items on secondary marketplaces. It is not clear how much this asset will bring in. The Ubisoft plan to transfer the NFTs into future games.

Ubisoft might have dropped its NFT plans to Ghost Recon, but it is very active on the blockchain scene. Ubisoft has published a 4-year plan for research and development, along with the Strategic Innovation Lab which uses Tezos.
