Activision appoints Kristen Hines as chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer -Breaking

Kristen Hines was previously the Call of Duty creator that came under scrutiny for their culture.
California sued Activision last July, claiming it had “fostered an sexist environment”. Activision also came under investigation for internal sexual harassment allegations. Employees protested the response of Activision.
A petition was circulated by workers in November 2013 calling for Bobby Kotick’s resignation amid increasing criticism of the culture of the company.
Hines joined Accenture as a consultant in 2006 and was responsible for the Global Inclusion, Diversity and Equity practices at Accenture until this month.
Activision will be acquired by Microsoft Corp Hines, which was purchased by NASDAQ for $68.7billion, announced that it will work with its various gaming departments to make sure that game design includes character and story development.
Hines will be a key player in Activision Blizzard’s goal to grow the proportion of women and people who are not-binary in its workforce by 50% over the next five decades,” said the videogame maker. Hines assumes the new role as of April 25.
