WELLINGTON (Reuters), – New Zealand’s first quarter saw a decline in business confidence, according to a private thinktank. This was due to the continuing economic impact of the COVID-19 virus outbreak.

According to the quarterly survey of business opinions (QSBO), 40% of respondents expected that general business conditions would worsen, compared with 28% of pessimism during the preceding quarter.
