U.S. consumer bureau sues TransUnion, executive for continued deceptive marketing -Breaking

REUTERS/Andrew Kelly/File photoWASHINGTON (Reuters] – Tuesday saw a top U.S. consumer protection agency file a lawsuit against TransUnion (NYSE:) The credit reporting agency was charged by one of its highest executives for continuing to mislead customers after it had been punished in 2017.
After being fined, the CFPB said that the company was still attempting to con people into paying recurring fees. John Danaher (NYSE -), head of one the subsidiaries of the company, was not able to stop this activity, as the CFPB stated.
TransUnion representatives did not respond immediately to our request for comment.
