WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – President Joe Biden stated on Thursday that the top U.S. officials will soon decide whether they send a high-ranking official to Kyiv as a gesture of support to Ukraine.

Biden stated to reporters that he would soon make the decision as he prepares to travel to North Carolina. An anonymous source said that while it was possible for Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to go or Secretary of States Antony Blinken to, Biden would not be going.
