Last Wednesday, Estavi announced on TwitterThat he was selling the NFT on OpenSeaNFT trading platform and intends to give 50% of the proceeds to charity. The highest bid was for this tweet at the time of publication. worth $9,968A $2,905,867 decrease in value.
Estavi, the chief executive officer of Blockchain company Bridge Oracle said that he would not sell the tweet until he received a “high-bid” amount. according to the BBC.
Estavi does seem to be taking the fall in value as a compliment, however. He retweeted a tweet suggesting that “maybe Elon will buy it” — a reference to Elon Musk’s takeover bid for TwitterIt was announced Thursday morning.
