Japan to attend G20 meet, is not in a position to comment on Russia participation

TOKYO, Reuters – Japan cannot comment on the participation of each country in next week’s G20 Finance Ministers meeting, Shunichi Suzuki, Finance Minister, said Friday when asked about Russia’s intentions to join online.

Suzuki stated that Japan would “take appropriate steps in close collaboration with G7 allies, the chair country Indonesia” at a press conference.

Suzuki said, “At the moment I intend to attend this meeting,”
