Buyout firm Thoma Bravo approaches Twitter with acquisition interest -Breaking

NEW YORK (Reuters), Thoma Bravo LP, a buyout firm has been contacted Twitter Inc (NYSE) to show interest in putting together a deal that would challenge Tesla (NASDAQ:) Inc Chief Executive Elon Tesla’s $43billion bid, sources familiar with the matter stated on Friday.

Thoma Bravo was a private equity firm with more than $103 Billion in assets at the end of December. Sources said that the company is looking into the possibility of making a bid.

Sources say it is unclear how much Thoma Bravo is willing to pay and that there are no guarantees of a competing bid. They asked not to be named because this is confidential.

Thoma Bravo representatives declined to comment. Twitter representatives didn’t immediately respond to my request.

The New York Post reported that Thoma Brave was looking into a bid for Twitter.
