REUTERS/Brendan McDermid(Reuters) – Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ) workers in a New Jersey facility have expressed enough interest for a vote to unionize, according to the U.S. National Labor Relations Board.
The NLRB stated that at least 60 of the 200 Amazon workers who work in Bayonne’s DNK5 depot, New Jersey have filed cards to request an organization as part of the Local 713 International Brotherhood of the Trade Union.
Amazon may contest the validity of the petition if they cannot agree on a date or terms for the election.
