This was repeated Tuesday by the head of a junior alliance partner.
Natsuo Yamaguchi of Komeito told reporters that Natsuo Yamaguchi must prepare and the legislature should pass an extra budget to cover unexpected costs.
Yamaguchi’s appeals have been in direct contradiction to the position of senior Liberal Democratic Party officials and the government, which stated that Tokyo should take measures to offset rising living costs by taping the reserves of 5.5 trillion Japanese yen (or $43.55 billion), set aside under fiscal 2022.
