Sri Lanka asks IMF for rapid financial assistance -Breaking

(Reuters] – Sri Lanka made a request for support by the International Monetary Fund, (IMF), in order to reduce supply chain concerns. A finance minister aide announced this via Twitter on Tuesday.

The IMF believes that Sri Lanka doesn’t meet the criteria. Shamir Zavahir stated that Sri Lanka is not meeting these criteria. He also said that IMF seems to be open to granting Extended Fund Facility (EFF) approval.
