LOS ANGELES (Reuters), -Walt Disney Co. has reached an agreement with Scarlett Johansson regarding a legal dispute that erupted following the release of “Black Widow,” starring her Marvel superhero.

They did not disclose the terms of their settlement.

Johansson (36) sued Disney for breach of contract in July. She claimed that Disney offered her the film on Netflix at the same moment it was in theatres.

The Los Angeles County Superior Court filed a complaint arguing that Black Widow’s dual-release strategy reduced her compensation. This was partly based on box office receipts, she claimed, from an exclusive cinema run.

Disney countered by stating that there was no merit to the lawsuit, and that it had adhered to Johansson’s terms.

Alan Bergman was the content chair for Disney Studios and stated that “I am very happy that we were able to reach a mutual understanding with Scarlett Johansson concerning ‘Black Widow.'” He made this statement Thursday.

Johansson stated that she was also happy with how the company resolved her disagreements and looks forward to continuing collaboration.

She stated that she was proud of her team’s work over the years, and had greatly enjoyed their creative partnership.
