TOKYO (Reuters) – Toshiba (OTC) Corp stated on Thursday that the corporation has decided to seek proposals for strategic alternatives including privatisation.

Nomura Securities has been retained by the company as its adviser. The firm expects to conclude evaluation of all non-binding propositions before its annual general assembly of shareholders, according to a press release.

Toshiba stated that an evaluation of the transaction would consider the possibility that it will be approved in accordance with national securities laws and competition rules.
