WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – The U.S. House of Representatives is set to consider further aid for Ukraine within the next week. This comes after President Joe Biden made plans for Congress to request more support for Kyiv.

She said that she would learn more about Ukraine in the coming days, and it will be up for discussion next week.

Biden announced Thursday an extra $800 million in military aid for Ukraine. However, he said that the exact amount was yet to be determined.

Shmyhal was previously present at White House meetings with Biden, as well members of his cabinet.
