© Reuters. France stock higher after close of trade, CAC 40 up 1.3%Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
Paris closed with an increase of 1.36% and an index gain of 1.37%.
They were the top performers at the session Safran SA (EPA:) rose 4.11%, or 4.32 points, to close at 109.46. Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA – EPA: climbed 3.61% to 54.87. Legrand Late trade saw SA (EPA) rise 3.58%, or 3.0 points to 86.88
Eurofins Scientific SE(EPA:) was the worst performer of the session, falling 4.75% and 4.48 points to trade close at 89.80. Carrefour SA (EPA:), fell 2.95% or 0.60 to close at 19.77 Thales (EPA:) fell 1.84%, or 2.35 points, to 125.20.
Top performers in the SBF 120 competition were Verallia (EPA:), which increased 11.42% to 25,96 Rexel (EPA) which was higher by 6.36% and settled at 20.74 Elior Group (EPA:), which saw a gain of 6.25%, to close at 2.92
Eurofins Scientific SE was the worst performer, falling 4.75% at 89.80 in trade late. Carrefour SA (EPA) lost 2.95% and settled at 19.77. Mcphy Energy (EPA:), which fell 2.69% to 18.82 by the end.
The Paris Stock Exchange saw rising stocks surpassing declining stocks by 312 to 234 and 95 ending unchanged.
The implied volatility index of CAC 40 options was at a 52-week low of 0.00%, or 18.96.
For June delivery, Gold Futures fell 0.69% to $1.942.05 an ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which rose 0.72 or 0.70 to $102.91/barrel, and the Brent crude oil contract for June delivery rose 0.45 or 0.48, trading at $107.28/barrel.
EUR/USD was stable at 0.06%, 1.08 and EUR/GBP unaffected at 0.20% and 0.83.
At 100.58, the US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.17%.
