(Reuters) – Sensor manufacturer Velodyne Lidar Inc announced on Thursday that Marta Hall had resigned as a board member, weeks after her husband sold over two-thirds their share in the company.

Velodyne last year removed Marta from her position as chief marketing officer and David Hall as chairman. Marta claimed that the couple were not permitted to refute this charge in an board meeting, which she called “ambush” David was forced to resign from the company board just days following the meeting.

They reduced their stake to 10.1%, from 42.9% in March.

Velodyne Lidar stated in a Thursday filing that “Ms. Hall” and her husband had repeatedly criticised the Board and its management. She also expressed her concern about her differences with some board members.

This company is one of many that are vying for automakers’ lidar, a sensor that creates a 3-D map of the roads ahead.
