© Reuters. Verizon earnings inline; Revenue Beats in Q1Verizon (NYSE) – Investing.com reported Friday that the first quarter exceeded analysts’ expectations and that revenue was higher than expected.
Verizon reported earnings per share at $1.35 on $33.6B in revenue. Investing.com polled analyst to predict EPS of $1.35 based on $33.6B in revenue.
Verizon shares fell 10% over the first of the year but are up 8.09% from its 52-week peak of $59.85, which was set May 10, 2021. They are under-performing the S&P Global 100 which is down 5.62% from the start of the year.
Verizon stock shares fell by 1.38% during pre-market trading following the release.

Verizon’s report follows an earnings beat by AT&T on Thursday, who reported EPS of $0.77 on revenue of $38.11B, compared to forecasts EPS of $0.7485 on revenue of $38.25B.
Netflix exceeded expectations with a quarter-end EPS at $3.53 on $7.87 billion in revenue, as compared to the $2.95 forecasted for $7.94B revenue.
