You can still win by matching fewer than six numbers. Your maximum win amount is only $4 Let’s take a look at the payouts:

• Prize: $1 MillionFind five matching numbers (1 in 11688,054)
• $50,000 prize: Match 4 numbers to the Powerball (1 out 913,129).
• $100 prize:Four numbers to match (1 in 36,525)
• $100 prize:Match three numbers, and you get the Powerball (1/14494)
• $7 prize:Match 3 numbers (1 out 580)
• $7 prize:Match 2 numbers to get the Powerball (1/701)
• $4 prize:Match 1 number to the Powerball (1 out of 92).
• $4 prize: Only 1 in 38 people can match the Powerball

The ticket cost is $2. However, you may pay $1 more for Power Play. This multiplies non-jackpot winnings up to 10 times. The Power Play prize for matching five numbers is an exception, and it is doubled up to $2,000,000 if you win.
