U.S. labor officers are asking a federal court for force StarbucksAccording to a, activist workers who were dismissed for campaigning in their union are being brought back. Friday filing.

Phoenix’s Chief Labor Relations Officer is asking for an Injunction against Starbucks to require that it reinstate the three employees who have been allegedly unlawfully dismissed, forced out of work or on unpaid leaves.

This filing is the latest in what’s expected to beA long and costly legal fight between the union and global coffee chain.

More than 200 Starbucks stores have submitted paperwork under Workers United to join the Service Employees International Union. Up to now, 24 locations have voted in favor of unionizing, and only two others have rejected.

The tension between them has grown, and each is accusing another of illegal activity. Workers United filed a number of complaints against Starbucks with the NLRB, alleging the company illegally retaliated against and harassed organizers at cafes throughout the country. Starbucks has been also subject to complaints from the government agency.

Starbucks is the host this week filed two complaintsThe NLRB alleged that the union which organized its baristas violated federal labor laws. Starbucks has not yet responded to my request for comment.

The filing filed Friday claims that Starbucks retaliated after it learned its workers were engaged in pro union activity. Cornele Overstreet (NLRB Director) stated that “immediate injunctive relief” is needed to protect the national interest of the employer from illegal conduct.
