Ethereum (ETH) still finds itself on CoinMarketCap’s trending list and is 15th on the list. It is also 2nd in market capital, just behind Bitcoin (which still holds the #1 position), and USDT (3rd on the list).
The price for Ethereum dropped by 4.98% over the past 24 hour, leaving it at $2.8111.20 (or 0.07329741 BTC). The price for ETH also dropped by 3.2% in the last week. It has experienced a double-digit 10.15% decrease within the month.
ETH, on the other hand has had a trading volume in excess of $14.20B over the past 24 hours. This is according to CoinMarketCap, which is a 74%+ increase in the coin’s trading volume.
The price trend seen with Ethereum seems to be a representation of what’s going on in the majority of the rest of the crypto market as other coins with large market caps such as Bitcoin (BTC), (BNB), and have all experienced a drop in their respective prices over the last 24 hours and week.
The trending listing of Ethereum and the rise in 24-hour trading volume despite the price drop could indicate that Ethereum believers and fans are preparing for a bull run.
The launch of The Merge was delayed many times. However, it’s still possible that the final launch will be well worth the wait. It is possible that crypto investors are gearing up to deploy the Merge, which will take place in the middle part of 2018.
