President Joe Biden’s administration aims to improve access to Covid-19 oral antibiotic treatments such as PfizerThe White House announced Tuesday that it would double the locations where they can be found, in accordance with’s Paxlovid.

Beginning this week, U.S. pharmacies will have the ability to receive free antiviral medications directly from government agencies by participating in the federal pharmacist program.

At the moment, pharmacies depend on the states for the drugs. The government can send the medications to selected pharmacies as well as to state and local community centers. The treatments can be found in approximately 20,000 places under the current system.
