General Electric Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q1 -Breaking

Investing.com – General Electric (NYSE: ) On Tuesday, the first quarter ended with revenue surpassing expectations. Analysts’ estimates were exceeded by the company.

General Electric posted earnings per share in the range of $0.24 to $17.04B on revenues of $17.04B. Investing.com polled analysts and predicted EPS at $0.1884 for $16.87B in revenue.

General Electric shares have fallen 4% since the start of the year but are still 22.63% below its 52-week high of $116.17, which was set November 9, 2021. They are outperforming the S&P Global 100 which is down 7.96% from the start of the year.

General Electric reports on major industrial sector earnings for this month

General Electric’s earnings report comes after United Parcel Service beat them on Tuesday with EPS figures of $3.05 per share on $24.38B in revenue, as opposed to their forecasts of EPS at $2.89 for $23.82B.

Union Pacific exceeded expectations Thursday, posting a $2.57 EPS on revenues of $5.86B for the first quarter. This compares to the $2.56 EPS forecasted on revenues of $5.71B.
