(Reuters] Mercedes-Benz’s earnings before interest and tax (EBIT), rose to 5.2 billion euro ($5.54 billion) for the first quarter despite a drop in deliveries by 10%. The high prices made up for any supply chain problems.

Premium carmaker, BMW, confirmed its year-end guidance, anticipating an EBIT margin adjusted of 11.5-13% for cars. However, it warned that worsening war effects, COVID-19 lockdowns, and shortages of semiconductors might alter the outlook.
