PARIS (Reuters). – French automaker French spokesperson Renault (EPA:) The EPA declined to comment Wednesday on a Russian Interfax report that claimed it would sell its major stake in Avtovaz, a carmaker from Russia to a Russian science center.

Interfax reports that Renault will be allowed to buy back the stake within five to six years. He said that Renault would sell its stake in the Moscow plant to the local government.

Russia’s largest national carmaker is Avtovaz (producer of Lada).
