MEXICO CITY (Reuters] – Mexican bank Inbursa continues to be interested in the acquisition of Citigroup The Mexican retail operations of Citibanamex (NYSE:), will be the subject of a bidding, according to an Inbursa executive.

Inbursa, in collaboration with investors, would take part in Citibanamex’s purchase. The executive stated that Inbursa would try to keep the majority Mexican ownership of the company, which is something President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador expressed preference for during a conference.
