Senate Democrats urge U.S. Transport chief to develop autonomous vehicle rules -Breaking

WASHINGTON (Reuters] – Twelve U.S. Senate Democrats urged Transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg on Wednesday to establish a federal framework to allow autonomous cars to operate in the United States, according to a Reuters letter.

The senators were led by Gary Peters who heads a subcommittee for surface transportation. They stated that they are behind in creating a regulatory framework to foster innovation and protect and encourage all the benefits autonomous vehicles can deliver.
