• The firm’s Head of Digital Assets, Mathew McDermott announced this at the Financial Times Crypto and Digital Summit.
• Goldman Sachs is now offering crypto-related financial instruments such as OTC cryptocurrency-trading.

This week, US banking giant Goldman Sachs announced that it is exploring the “tokenization of real assets” by exploring non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The digital asset market has seen a lot of momentum throughout this year. There are no signs that there will be a decrease in the number of companies interested in digital assets or the metaverse.

NFT trademark and metaverse-related trademark applications continue to dominate crypto news headlines. Government actions are also taking place to stop the rise in illegal activity.

On Wednesday, at the Financial Times Crypto and Digital Assets Summit, Mathew McDermott – the Global Head of Digital Assets at Goldman Sachs said,

NFTs can be explored within the framework of financial instruments. We are working on many things.

Goldman Sachs also doesn’t own back NFTs or cryptos. The metaverse was reportedly deemed an $8 trillion business opportunity by the US bank giant in January.

Goldman Sachs, however, has funded many crypto startups and also provided crypto-related financial tools, such as Bitcoin (BTC), products for OTC crypto trading services.

NFTs have been expanded by the Banking industry, which has made the topic of tokenization more popular. The NFTs can be used to tokenize assets, and they are not tied to any industry.

Although there are many examples of the booming tokenization assets, Recent months have seen greater attention to the tokenization of financial agents.
