WASHINGTON (Reuters), Hundreds protestors for abortion rights gathered at the U.S. Supreme Court in angrily after an unusual leak revealed that a majority judge was poised to repeal Roe v. Wade, which allowed abortions nationwide.

A crowd demanded that Democrats in Congress take immediate action to safeguard abortion access and decry any ruling that could remove what they consider a fundamental human right, just hours after Politico published Monday’s initial draft opinion.

Annie McDonnell (a George Washington University student aged 19), stated, in reference to the draft opinion, “The first sentence of the draft is that it is amoral issue.” If it is a moral matter, then you should not be denying us our freedom of choice.

A sign hung high above the ground read: “Justices, get out my vagina.” Another sign read, “I love someone who had an abortion.”

A smaller group of anti-abortion activists were also present, some playing guitars and drums, singing, “Hey! Hey!” Ho, ho. Roe v. Wade has got to go.”

Pro-abortion rights advocates chanted, “Abortion IS healthcare,” Also, there were chants of “Do something Democrats.”

According to conservative Justice Samuel Alito’s opinion, the court will find Roe v. Wade wrongly decided as the U.S. Constitution does not specifically mention abortion rights. Reuters couldn’t confirm authenticity of draft.

Moira Flath (22) said that she was horrified to receive a news notification at 9.15 p.m.

According to the University of Delaware student, “I believe a part of my heart has to remain cautiously optimistic. Seeing people here willing to wake up at 10, 11, and go to work gives me hope, but it will be difficult.”

Erin Sheehan was Erin’s 21-year-old roommate. She said, “I believe everyone should be capable of fighting for this, and no one especially not men should tell us how we can use our bodies.”
