This was after a report suggesting that the Supreme Court could overturn Roe v. Wade’s 1973 landmark ruling.
Schumer stated that it was his intention to vote in the Senate on legislation codifying the right to abortion. Every American will be able to view which senator’s position in the remarks made on the Senate floor.
The date of the election was not stated by him.
