France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.79% -Breaking

Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The index rose 0.83% at the Paris close.

They were the top performers at the session Alstom SA (EPA) rose 5.43%, or 1.14 points, to trade at 22.15 after the close. Meanwhile, BNP Paribas SA (EPA) gained 5.15% or 2.52 points to close at 51.32. ArcelorMittal SA, AS: was up 4.24 percent or 1.14 to 28.12 late trade.

These were the worst performers of the session. Hermes International SCA (EPA) fell 2.08%, or 24.00 points, to close at 1,129.00. L’Oreal SA (EPA:) declined 1.94% or 6.60 points to end at 333.50 and Schneider Electric SE (EPA:) was down 1.46% or 1.94 points to 131.00.

Alstom SA, which rose 5.43% at 22.15 to be the top performer on SBF 120 was followed by BNP Paribas SA which rose 5.15% to reach 51.32. Vallourec (EPA): Closed at 11.38 with a gain of 4.31%

Solutions 30 SE, (EPA:), was among the worst-performing stocks. It fell 3.06% to 5,25 in late trading. Imerys SA (EPA,) fell 3.00% to 36.18. Hermes International SCA was (EPA), which dropped 2.08% to 1,129.00 at close.

By 331 to 217, rising stocks outnumbered those on the Paris Stock Exchange. 91 was unchanged.

The implied volatility index of CAC 40 options was at 0.00%, a 52-week record.

The June delivery of Gold Futures was up 0.3% or 6.32 percent to $1,869.92 per troy ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil delivery for June dropped 1.50%, or 1.58, to $103.59 per barrel. The July Brent oil contract traded at $106.06/barrel.

EUR/USD was stable at 1.05 and EUR/GBP was steady at 0.19 to 0.84.

US Dollar Index Futures were down 0.2% at 103.55.
