MIAX-parent Miami International Holdings confidentially files for U.S. IPO -Breaking

(Reuters) – Miami International Holdings Inc is the owner of Miami International Securities Exchange (MIAX) and has submitted confidential documentation to U.S. regulators.

New Jersey’s exchange operator, Princeton Exchange Operator did not disclose any details about the offer and decided to protect its financial information from competitors by filing confidential paperwork to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Miami International is the owner of three options exchanges, including the MIAX Pearl. It manages, among other things, the Bermuda Stock Exchange as well the Minneapolis Grain Exchange.

Stock trading was launched on MIAX Pearl by the company in September 2020. It aims to compete with its listed peers like Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE) Inc owned New York Stock Exchange and Cboe Global Markets.

Miami International, a management company with extensive experience in equity options, launched options trading at the MIAX in December 2012. According to its website, it now lists options and trades them on more than 3,900 classes that are multi-listed.
