LONDON (Reuters] – Queen Elizabeth intends to attend large celebrations next month to celebrate her 70 years of British throne. Buckingham Palace confirmed on Friday that she will, however, exclude Princes Andrew, Harry and Harry from the traditional event.

Britain’s longest-reigning monarch of the 96-year old age is being celebrated in February with seven decades of her reign. Four days of ‘Platinum Jubilee-related events’ are taking place at the beginning of June to celebrate that historic milestone.

Elizabeth was unable to travel due to mobility issues. Buckingham Palace confirmed that Elizabeth would still be attending a variety of events.

A palace spokesperson stated that “Her Majesty is excited about the weekend” and would be participating in the festivities. However, her attendance will not be confirmed until the next time or on the actual day.

Starting on June 2, the four-day event will include the military parade “Trooping the Colour” in central London. Following that, there will be a thanksgiving service held at St Paul’s Cathedral. There will also be a concert outside Buckingham Palace and then a parade through the British capital the following days.

A feature of major royal occasions includes the presence of members of the royal family who wave to the public from the palace balcony. The queen decided that neither Prince Andrew nor Prince Harry, her grandson, will attend this event.

Andrew’s stock dropped after he settled the U.S. case in which was charged with sexually assaulting Virginia Giuffre in February as a teenager.

Due to his connections with the U.S. sex offenders Jeffrey Epstein, he has already quit public service and been stripped of royal patronages.

Harry, the younger brother of Prince Charles, also gave-up royal duties and lost patronages when he moved to Los Angeles, California with his American wife Meghan.

The palace spokesperson stated that “After careful consideration” the queen decided the traditional Trooping of Colour balcony appearance this year… would be restricted to her Majesty and the members of the royal families who are undertaking official public duties for the queen.

Many speculated about Harry’s return to the Jubilee, as he has been involved in a dispute over security arrangements, which caused him not to attend his grandfather Prince Philip’s funeral service.

Sources close to the palace said Harry, Meghan, and their children were still loved and respected members of the family and would be attending events.
