REUTERS/Feisal OmarNAIROBI, Reuters – Somalia’s government asked the International Monetary Fund to extend its expiry date for its loan program by three more months until Aug. 17, according to the IMF’s Country Mission.
Laura Jaramillo stated that the extension will allow for the necessary time to verify policy agreements with the new government following the conclusion of the presidential election.
