SEC approves Valkyrie’s Bitcoin futures ETFThe United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has given the green light to Valkyrie’s futures exchange-traded fund (ETF) application. The SEC has approved another ETF, having previously allowed futures ETFs. There is no spot ETF yet.
According to SEC documents PublishedThursday was the date that the application was submitted under Securities Exchange Act of 1935 using a form 19b-4, which is identical to the law in place (BTC) ETF prospects are relying on — albeit with little success thus far. Last month, the watchdog gave the thumbs-up to Teucrium’s Bitcoin futures ETF, which is the first such vehicle to be approved under the ’33 Act.
