(Reuters) – The U.S. first Lady Jill Biden traveled unannounced to Ukraine Sunday to support its people in the face of Russia’s invasion. According to a pool report, she visited a temporary shelter school and met Olena Zeleska, Ukraine’s first lady.
“I thought it was important to show the Ukrainian people that this war has to stop and this war has been brutal and that the people of the United States stand with the people of Ukraine,” Biden said.
