REUTERS/Shannon Stapleton(Reuters] – Neel Kashkari of the Minneapolis Fed stated on Monday that U.S. supply chain issues which have kept inflation high in America aren’t ebbing as rapidly as he expected and that he has less faith about their eventual easement.
Kashkari stated that he is confident inflation will drop to 2%. However, he was not sure how heavy of a burden he would have to bear versus receiving help from the supply.
“Virtually, all that news is going in the wrong direction,” said he, citing both the conflict in Ukraine and the COVID lockdowns at China.
