Investing.com – India stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

NSE closed with the index falling 0.19% and the market losing 0.38%.

These were the best performers of the session Hindustan Unilever Ltd., which increased 3.01% (or 63.75 point), to trade at 2,180.40 by the close Meanwhile, Asian Paints Ltd. IndusInd Bank Ltd. (NS 🙂 was up 2.3% or 21.20 to 910.90 late trade

These were the worst performers of the session. Coal India Ltd (NS), fell 7.10% to trade at 170.05 after the close. Tata Steel Ltd (NS.) dropped 6.98% (87.35) to finish at 1,164.90. Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (NS.) was down 66.25% (10.30) to 154.45.

BSE Sensex 30’s top performers were Hindustan Unilever Ltd., which rose 3.24% at 2,184.10 and Asian Paints Ltd., which went up 2.46% at 3,083.70. IndusInd Bank Ltd. was at 9.10.75 with a gain of 2.40%.

Tata Steel Ltd.(BO:), which fell 6.95% at 1,165.40 in the late trade, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.. (BO :), which dropped 2.74% at 861.10, and NTPC Ltd. (BO :), which declined 2.33% at 155.30 by close.

On the India National Stock Exchange, falling stocks outnumbered those that advanced by 1504. 345 and 26 were unchanged. The Bombay Stock Exchange had 2403 fall and 843 advance, and 127 was unchanged.

The index, which tracks the implied volatility for Nifty 50 options (Nifty 50), was up 1.3% to 22,30, an all-time high of 1.30 months.

For June delivery, Gold Futures fell 0.02 percent or 0.40 to $1.858.20 per troy-ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which fell 1.59% or 1.64 in June to reach $101.45/barrel, and the July Brent Oil contract, which fell 1.73% or1.83 to trade for $104.11/barrel.

USD/INR decreased 0.07% at 77.32 while EUR/INR fell 0.12% at 81.54.
