Mondelez plans to sell Trident, Dentyne among other brands -Breaking

(Reuters) – Mondelez International Inc (NASDAQ:) Tuesday’s announcement by the company indicated that it will sell its chewing gum businesses, including Dentyne and Trident, to developed markets. The Halls brand is also being sold in these countries. As the company concentrates on snacks and chocolates,

Cadbury will maintain its gum brands in emerging market markets. The Cadbury company stated it is reshaping the product range with the intention of earning 90% from biscuits and chocolates.

Mondelez had sales of $7.76billion last quarter. It began reviewing its gum business in 2011 after customers took severe damage during COVID-19 lockdowns.

Since then, gum sales have recovered and people are returning to their normal lives after the end of the pandemic.
