(Reuters). Binance Wednesday: Joshua Eaton (NYSE:), A former Deputy U.S. attorney in the Northern District of California. He was the deputy general counsel of one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges.

The company stated that Eaton would be in charge of Binance’s legal affairs. He will also lead the support for global compliance and investigations, as well as law enforcement coordination activities.

Binance has been plagued by legal problems lately. In March, Binance was dismissed from a suit over the sale of digital tokens. Investors sued Binance for selling non-registered tokens, failing to register as an exchange/broker-dealer and violating U.S. Securities laws.

Eaton’s 20-year-long career at the Department of Justice and U.S. Army was instrumental in the development of standard-bearing ethics, and compliance practices. Binance’s General Counsel Hon Ng stated.
