TOKYO, Reuters – Ten investment funds have been contacted by Toshiba Corp (OTC) Corp to make strategic proposals. This is after the Japanese conglomerate stated it will solicit offers for deals, NHK, the national broadcaster, reported Friday.

The report stated that these investment funds include overseas and Japanese funds.

Toshiba, after years of fighting with major shareholders over its direction and strategy, announced last month that it would seek potential buyout offers to boost its prospects of an exit lucrative for investors in its hedge fund.
