Asian Stocks Up, Investors Worries Inflation Persists -Breaking

Investing.com – Asia Pacific stocks were up on Friday morning although investors worried that high inflation would continue, which drove central banks to further tighten monetary policies.

Japan’s rose 2.54% by 10:45 PM ET (2:45 AM GMT), while South Korea’s was up 1.69%

The Australian rose by 1.31%

Hong Kong’s rose 1.69%. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP), which will be released by the city later today, is expected to rise 1.69%.

China’s was up 0.27% while the was up 0.36%. Beijing saw a few additional COVID-19 case after officials dispelled rumors that Beijing would be shut down.

Due to global economic problems, the dollar rose to its 20-year highest point.

This was due to the moderation of the rising cost of energy products. The 0.5% monthly increase in April was less than the 1.6% rise in March.

“It’s been a tough time for financial asset since the Fed raised interest rates… The subsequent strong US economy and CPI data has reinforced concerns about the Fed’s ability to accomplish its task,” wrote analysts from ANZ bank.

This was released by the U.S. on Thursday. It rose to 203,000 this week. The forecast was higher than the 195,000 and it reached 202,000 last week.

Robert Habeck, the German Vice-Chancellor of Germany is warning against Russia using energy resources as weapons to menace NATO members.
